Grammy-winning Harlem Quartet opens the season with American masterworks and the world premiere of String Quartet No. 2: Reconstruction by Damien Geter, commissioned by the Belvedere Series. Works by Bolcom, Beach, Still, and Marsalis round out a vibrant evening.

Award-winning Merz Trio performs Clara’s Blumentagebuch, an intimate program inspired by Clara Schumann’s flower diary—interweaving Schumann, Brahms, Schubert, Beethoven, and living composer Loren Loiacono.

Three Masterpieces: Ysaÿe’s fiery solo violin sonata sets the stage—by turns obsessive, melancholy, and furious—Beethoven’s drama and innovation—the warmth and lyricism of Dvořák’s beloved Dumky Trio, a masterwork of folk-inspired song and spirited dance. 

Cellist Gabriel Cabezas—praised by the LA Times for his “virtuosity [that] includes getting the cello to make a whole host of amazing sounds you would never conjure coming from the instrument”—joins pianist Ingrid Keller for an evening of powerful sonatas. The program journeys from Beethoven’s groundbreaking Cello Sonata No. 2 to Barber’s passionate and lyrical Cello Sonata, culminating in Paul Wiancko’s Shifting Baselines, a contemporary work that speaks to memory, change, and resilience. Together, Cabezas and Keller bridge centuries of music with artistry and depth.
